This is a must visit in Boise if you like to try new foods! All of the food I had was great-especially the white tibs! It was fun to order for a large group and all share. I also tried the banana juice (kind of like a banana smoothie) and the sprice juice. I think the favorite thing we had was the spice juice. It was creamy and surprisingly refreshing. The staff was very nice and attentive. Would love to come again!
Looking for something new? Different? Fresh and healthy. How about something that is easy on the wallet, will fill you up and leave you craving more?
Look no further. Kibrom's Ethiopian food hits the spot. Great spot for the whole family. Vegetarian options for the vegetarian on the family and plenty of well cooked meat options for the meat eaters as well.
Perfect spot for a quick lunch or a family dinner. For any occasion, definitely consider and choose Kibrom's.
This place is amazing! This restaurant is one of the reasons why my husband and I decided to go to Boise. We are so glad we went to Kibrom's! The food was delicious, and we also loved the tea and the coffee.
Delicious food! I did like the chicken better than the beef. The lentil samosa was delicious and unique flavor. I will be back to try more
We found it helpful to study the menu online prior to going. We're visiting & this was recommended by my vegan brother. All of our party enjoyed our yummy food with meat and veggies and grains & fun experience, except my mom who complained about how improper it was to eat with your hands. lol. But mom, they have forks-lets just ask. No, no. Its ok. Grumble grumble. Spicy or not, it was yummy. We liked it so much, went back again!
First time trying this spot and Ethiopian food in general and I’ll 100% be back! Got the red tibs with chicken and rice. Super good!!
I'm in love. Had this delivered. First time trying Ethiopian food. The Veggie Samosa was so good, packed full, and very flavorful. The beef one was also stuffed with filings, but I prefer the flavor of the veggie and the sauce that came with them was unique and perfect. I got a side of rice, delicately spiced, ideal to go with the mains. I got the veggie and meat 6 items. The Tikel Gomen was my least favorite, but still a good dish. Selsi was very good, not as spicy as I thought. Foselia was super good, great textures. Dero Wat, I loved it was on the bone, and tender. Red Tibs Lamb had larger chunks, good flavor. The Zilzil Wot was my favorite! I got the gluten-free Injera, I enjoyed the texture and tang. The salad, while simple, was so well done, fresh and bright, and held up through the 30 min drive. Cons? my samosas were over cooked. It got sloshed around during the delivery, but that's not the restaurants fault.
I genuinely believe this is the best food in Boise. Everything is so well prepared for a very reasonable price. I can't recommend anything specifically because it's all sooo good. The staff is also really fun and kind. We always get our spot at table 10 even when it's busy (though this is probably just a coincidence). I remember coming to this place when it was a little place in the international market and I will continue coming until I can't anymore.
